Shoko (Chingezi: word, message, passage) uye mashoko pahuwandu.

  • Chinovhikwa ihwanja shoko harivhikwi. What can be fended off is a knobkerrie and not a word.
  • Izwi rabuda mumuromo haridzivirirwi. A word from the mouth cannot be avoided.
  • Izwi rabuda mumuromo ipfumo rinobaya. A word from the mouth is (like) a spear piercing.
  • Iro idama rakanaka sahwira; ndichaita sezvawareva.
